  • As a consumer, you want ways to increase assurance that the project is built according to industry guidelines. One way to do that is to use installation companies with employees that are ICPI Certified Concrete Paver Installers. The ICPI Certified Paver Installers program communicates minimum industry standards on estimating, planning, and executing residential projects. ICPI Certification is one of several credentials that you can use to qualify a contractor before signing a contract to install your paving project. ICPI certified concrete paver installers are industry professionals. They recognize industry standards on constructing interlocking concrete pavements. You can be sure that a company with a certified installer on staff is dedicated to quality installation standards and on-going education. ICPI sets installation standards for the industry. Certification helps contractors meet or exceed these. You want to do business with a professional company that knows industry standards. Certification identifies installers who know them. ICPI Paver Certification increases consumer confidence by educating installers on proper installation practices, thus promoting higher quality installations. Using an ICPI Certified Paver Installer assures consumers that they are making a wise investment in a low-maintenance, long lasting interlocking concrete pavement.

The Better Business Bureau (BBB) is one of the most utilized and reliable sources of information concerning reliability of businesses in the country. Most consumers know, respect and believe in the BBB, and prefer doing business with Bureau members. Credibility and integrity in the eyes of the consumer is the Bureau’s greatest asset, which is shared with all members.

What sets the BBB apart from other professional business organizations is that member companies must earn the right to belong to the BBB. Membership approval is not a rubber stamp process. Sure, it would be easy to accept everyone who applies for a business license and grab the membership dollars. But it would not be true to our mission.

Because the BBB zealously monitors member compliance with the most stringent membership standards, consumers are more confident that members will serve them well, and that any disputes that may arise will be handled thoughtfully and responsibly. BBB membership is earned every business day. When customers decide with whom they want to do business, the BBB can make their choice an easy one. Whether a business or consumer inquires via phone, fax or the Internet – your company’s membership is mentioned. The BBB’s reliability is reflected in the thousands of trustworthy businesses it represents, and the solid unbiased information it has provided to consumers for decades. BBB membership can be one of your company’s most valuable assets and a very effective market positioning strategy.

In Arizona, a contractor must be licensed through the Registrar of Contractors (ROC) to legally perform construction, home repair and remodeling jobs that require a building permit or when the total project cost is $1000 or more. When someone contracts without a license, they endanger the health, safety and welfare of the public, undercut licensed contractors who operate legitimately and lawfully, and hurt the entire construction industry. Also, when a homeowner hires someone who is not licensed, they have no recourse through the ROC complaint process or the Residential Contractors' Recovery Fund.
